We Like Trains.
K3Railroads was founded by Joshua Bauer... with cooperation from some friends. You see, this wasn't an immediate decision, it was influenced thought out, and done hand-in-hand with fellow railfans. Me and Joshua Biggers have been looking into old railroad history and local abandoned rail lines to do private and thorough research about what used to run where and how things were. Well, things expanded and I didn't want to loose track of what... so this website came about. In addition, my friend Ryan also assists use occasionally and we openly take submissions from other railfans and railroaders who wish to contribute. See the "Contact Me" page or click the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner to shoot me an e-mail if you're interested. K3 itself is a short way of saying Kankakee, Illinois. It is around here, anyway. Don't let all the local color and history blind you, I'm open to informational submissions from around the North American continent, not just northern Illinois. Overall, we are a small group of railfans who work for no profit and out of our own interests to document and bring about a proper website collection of railroad history.
